Bonded Pair NGA Greyhounds: CAT SAFE!!!
Returning through no fault of their own. (Divorce, uncertain housing situation, limited finances for veterinary needs.) Previous owners are understandably heartbroken, but we can help best by finding a good home that will adopt both of these girls together. Prison Greyhounds will get both girls up to date with full exam, Senior Wellness Panel including bloodwork, urine analysis, fecal, vaccines, dental. Both greyhounds come with a high quality, custom Gini’s Greyhound Fashions warm winter coat. The adoption fee for BOTH of them together is $500. We will not separate them.
Alpha (Alpha Episode) – Female NGA greyhound. Born 4/25/217, so Alpha is 7-years-old. She is white with brindle and some ticking. Tattoos 47E-70384. Describe by previous owner as energetic and playful, but is also your standard greyhound couch potato. Loves children, people, and cat friendly. Alpha adores Petra. She loves to zoom around the yard and terrorize the squirrels. Fearful of thunder and fireworks. No known underlying health concerns. A delightful companion. Leash trained, used to having a fenced in backyard for play. Commands Alpha knows: No, leave it, stop, go, lay down. She does have sleep startle. Alpha had 64 races at Palm Beach with 8 wins, 5 send places. She was originally adopted in 2020.
Petra (Kennel name Veto, racing name Smart Breaker): – Female NGA greyhound. Born 10/10/2014, so she is 10-years-old. Petra is a fawn brindle, tattoos 104E-65080, weighs about 57#. She was adopted originally in 2016. Petra likes to be a little shadow. She likes to follow her people around and keep tabs on everything they do. She is happy, loving, and always wags her tail. Petra (the name that her original adopter gave her) prefers her own people over new strangers. Cat friendly. No known underlying health issues except for serious dental concerns. Perhaps arthritis as a 10-year-old. Patra’s rear end shows some slow movement and weakness. She has been on a soft food diet, we are transitioning her (hopefully) to small sized kibble. She might be a good candidate for a raw food diet if her next adopter agrees. We will learn about her diet as we go. And they are BOTH going in for full Senior Panel Examination and Diagnostics with Dr Carter. Petra mostly loves Alpha except when she takes her spot on the bed at night. We are hopefully going to break them on this as they do not have access to the human beds at their foster home. Then new adopters can choose whatever they want. Petra does try to sneak onto the couch when the owner is not home. Overall, Petra is pretty low-key. Leash trained, also used to having a fully fenced back yard. Commands she knows: No, leave it, stop, go, lay down. She was a Daytona Beach racer; 12 races. At least she can brag about coming 1st in one of these races!
