Hero “Rue” – Female greyhound lurcher, born 5/31/2013. Yes – she is LITTERMATE to Katniss. Age 11. Weight 53 pounds. But unlike her littermate sister, Rue is reserved and not nearly as confident as Katniss. She is more laid back also. Rue enjoys interacting with calmer dogs instead of those who are more rambunctious. She would thrive in a chill environment that isn’t very chaotic. She would probably enjoy being a “home body” with some calm walks and time in her own yard or cushy dog bed.  (The littermates Katniss and Rue were part of a litter named for the Hunger Games movie. The Hero Hound adoption fee is $200, but you must get pre-approved. Hero Hounds are not cat tested, they have never been around cats. But our experience shows they are cat tolerable. Like all of our retired donors from The Veterinarians’ Blood Bank, she is fully vetted and the adoption fee covers microchipping.)
