Peppermint Patty (greyhound lurcher) – female, brindle, BROOD MAMA! Born in July 2017; 5 years old. Weighs 55 pounds. She had a litter of pups (including available lurcher Precious) in November 2021. Answers to either the name of Peppermint or Patty! Full of energy and very loving! SPECIAL NEEDS: Patty has been successfully treated for heartworm disease. She needs to fully heal from her treatments before she can go home to an adopter. So she will only be special needs until the end of December. She tolerates her muzzle pretty good. She has learned to like the X-pen. She is also afraid of storms. Housebroken, she has learned to go to the back door to let you know she has to go out. Her adopter will need to have another dog at home, she likes canine companionship. As well as a fenced yard! This girl likes to do zoomies and would love to have the opportunity to do so again once her internal organs are fully recovered in December. She is still learning how to relax on car rides. She LOVES her puzzle toy! Foster Dad says, “Peppermint Patty is more affectionate than any other foster greyhound we have had. Patty loves trying to get on the couch, especially to try and sit next to me. She’s a collector and is starting to figure out how enjoyable bully sticks can be. Patty does a great sit and is a champion leaner when she’s being petted.” … I mean, what more appropriate name could you have for a new Christmas hound than Peppermint?!
She was simply ecstatic to see her puppy Precious when they were reunited for a short time!
