VALENTINE HEROES! (Mama Zoey & Hero Teddy)

VALENTINE HEROES!
Let me tell you a story about Mama Zoey and Hero Teddy. These 2 Hero Hounds are adoptable. The smaller one is Mama Zoey. She is 13, born Oct. 11, 2011. Zoey is a red and white greyhound lurcher, retired as a donor at The Veterinarians’ Blood Bank where she saved many lives. (Did you know that healthy blood is also necessary for laboratory research in fighting canine diseases, including cancer?)  In addition, Zoey was also a brood mama. She had a couple litters of wonderful pups. Zoey’s daddy was 100% greyhound, and her mother was greyhound with a little coonhound. (You can see that in her head.) Super sweet, very friendly, gentle and confident. Loves people, loves even kids. Probably cat safe – Zoey is a brood mama after all! She is 59 pounds of love! … Then something wonderful happened in Zoey’s life about 4, maybe 5 years ago. Zoey’s new penmate became Hero Teddy, shown here. Teddy is also greyhound-coonhound mix (a lurcher). He is slightly larger/taller than Zoey. Teddy (like Zoey) also loves people and is also great with children. Teddy is 12, a year younger than Zoey. Teddy was born on Feb. 14, 2012. So he was born on VALENTINE’S DAY! And, very appropriately, Teddy became Zoey’s VALENTINE! They are now a bonded pair. They want to do everything together. Even if you feed them in 2 separate bowls of the same food, they prefer to both eat together at the same time from the same bowl. When they finish the first bowl, the nose right over together to the second bowl, and eat that one together also! Adorable! They snuggle together in their pen. They walk well together on leash, they are always together in the group play, and they always look for each other. They face life together with confidence! … So we are going to honor their wishes and find them a loving home that will adopt the 2 of them TOGETHER. They get along well with other hounds, but they are a bonded pair. Teddy is the more outgoing of the two. He is “nosy”, inquisitive and explores. Including sometimes things he should not, so he is learning in his own comical way. Teddy’s spots are brindle with ticking of black and brown specks on the white coat. (Very stunning.)… And like I said, we met them when we picked up Sasha. They are every bit as special as their name “Valentine Heroes” implies, and then some! We are going to set their adoption fee at only $100 for BOTH Hero Hounds. This includes their spay/neuter, recent dental & polish, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test and recent CBC for your records. We also provide a free one-month supply of preventives. … You could have Valentines Day all year long! Help us find them a home with each other.

Mama Zoey (Hero Zoey) – a brood mama greyhound lurcher! Mama Zoey has a gentle, docile personality. Very easy going.  Zoey is a lurcher, her daddy was 100% greyhound, and her momma was a coonhound mix. Her birthdate is 10/11/2011. So she is 13. Her body and mind are in great shape. She is 59 pounds. There is no prey-drive with this one, she is sweet as pie!!! She is “EASY BREEZY”, and honestly just a lazy girl now. Since she is 13, this is completely normal. Zoey doesn’t have a care in the world. She will make an excellent pet for someone who wants a lazy baby.  She doesn’t mind children! At first Zoey looked at the little girl as if to ask, “What is this little person?” But then she was fine with her. She allowed pettings, and happily ate a few treats. Zoey has always been the “okie dokie” type of hound. Never gets upset. She was an excellent momma to a couple litters. She made beautiful happy/healthy pups. All her pups have good manners, just like herself. Mama Zoey is obedient as well, and listens when recalled. She is always so happy to see all her staff friends at The Veterinarians Blood Bank (TVBB). She does enjoy being lazy, and she especially loves getting to lay underneath all the shade trees at TVBB. Worth mentioning, Zoey walks extremely well on a leash. She is very smart and it doesn’t take long for her to figure things out. …. Later we will introduce you to Zoey’s penmate named Teddy. He is also a greyhound lurcher, and about 1year younger than Zoey. And although Zoey gets along well with all dogs, Zoey and Teddy are especially fond of each other. We are going to try to find them a home together, if we can. Zoey’s adoption fee is $100.

Hero Teddy – Zoey has a pen mate named Teddy, he is a little younger than her, (just guessing)-probably a year if that younger. Zoey and Teddy are pretty happy with each other, if they decide they want 2 pups instead of 1! Teddy is a lurcher as well. She really does well with him, she likes other dogs and socializing with them.

Her and Teddy cuddle together and they both eat out of the same bowl, even though they are given 2 bowls at the same time every single day (away from each other). That is still their preference.

. …. $100 to adopt both together
