Profile of Adoptables

Bristol – 2-year-old brindle female, a field trial greyhound, born 9/30/2023. Age 2. She was a little scared coming into the Pet Center.

It was so new to her. She warms up fast to people. She is a sweet and pretty girl. No small dogs, probably no cats either. She has learned to fetch a ball and bring it back so you can throw it, most of the time! Her tail wagging so it seems she is happy to please you.

Hero “Jolie”: brindle female greyhound mix, retired blood donor. Born 6/18/2015; 10-years-old. Loves to run! 62 pounds of pure spunk! Eagerly gobbles up her dog treats! Loves to play in the snow.  Jolie gets along well with all dogs but prefers her calmer kennel mates the most. Great on leash. She would love having her own fenced yard to explore in the springtime. (Jolie is a retired blood donor greyhound mix. She is part coon hound. She is a happy girl, currently living with our partners at The Veterinarians’ Blood Blank in southern Indiana. Hero Hounds helped to save, or improve, the lives of many family pets. Jolie retired some time ago, and now she is ready to find the luxury in retirement that only a home can provide.)

Hero “Rover”: white male greyhound mix, with a few reddish-brown spots (on face, feet, ears, and behind area!) Born 7/11/14, so Rover is 11. He is a petite 59 pounds. Rover is a very relaxed hound. He is not a fan of the cold unless he has a sweater on. He wants to be inside all nice and warm on his doggie bed! He should be adopted into a calmer home. He goes with the flow and is very chill.  His favorite hound friends at The Veterinarians’ Blood Bank are seniors about his age, because they are chill just like Rover. He does great with them in group play time – males and females both. (Rover is a retired blood donor greyhound mix. He is part coon hound. He is a happy boy, currently living with our partners at The Veterinarians’ Blood Blank in southern Indiana. Hero Hounds helped to save, or improve, the lives of many family pets. Rover retired some time ago, and now he is ready to find the luxury in retirement that only a home can provide. We have found all of the Hero Hounds to be cat safe.)

Hero “Dodger”: brindle, male greyhound mix, retired blood donor. Born 7/31/2014, so he is 11. He weighs 57 pounds. Dodger is another super calm boy. He likes lounging around. He would prefer a home that is calm. If you ask him he would say “I just prefer becoming a couch potato”. He does great with keeping his doggie bed clean and really enjoys being loved on. (Dodger is a retired blood donor greyhound mix. He is part coon hound. He is a happy boy, currently living with our partners at The Veterinarians’ Blood Blank in southern Indiana.
