Jaxx

Jaxx (aka Jack or racing name Jackpot Jack) a male brindle, retired field trial racing greyhound from Oklahoma; a greyhound lurcher. Jaxx is 6 years old. Born 7/20/2017. He is 75 pounds, and tall for a lurcher. He broke his toe on back foot, and that’s how he became retired. Jaxx is a sweetheart. And we learned that he really seems to like children! He is fully vetted, neutered, and had a dental.  He is microchipped. Jaxx is affectionate, smart, and would love to become a couch potato. He does well with other large hounds. But no cats! He rides well in a car, even jumps right in. He likes to lean on you when standing still! At his meet & greets Jax is very polite and welcomes all. Jaxx is a hound that can quickly transition out of his need for a crate, once he has earned your trust and learned his new home environment. He does really well on the leash.  He likes to checks out every person to see if they will pet him. He isn’t scared of anything – except thunderstorms.  He does yard ‘zoomies’ with the other large hounds.  He responds quickly to “NO” if correction is necessary. He is housebroken. He truly wants to be around people and know your there.  He does fine when foster folks are gone, but someone who works crazy-long hours might need a midday option. (Doggie daycare or dog walker visit.)  Jaxx is LITTERMATE to Peppermint Patty!
